Of all of the web building software that is available on the internet, I recommend that you buy all of these, because this is what I use everyday and would not live without. This software is recommended for everything that you want to create yourself, this is what the pro's use.

Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, Flash, Dreamweaver, Acrobat, InDesign (InDesign is used mostly for print applications and is not necessary for web deign).

Adobe offers tutorials on their website. This software in multiple Countries; France, German, Sweden.

Adobe Creative Suite 3 Design Premium
With this software you can do website design, flash banners and photo editing, graphic design for print. This software package is my favorite. (I own the CS2 version)

Adobe Creative Suite 3 Web Premium
I recommend this one, for strictly website design, flash banners and photo editing, has more advanced web design features.

Adobe Creative Suite 3 Master Collection
If your a Guru of all applications, web design, video editing etc., this is the software to get.
