I just got back from my vacation. Even on vacation I like to see everything I possibly can. We had a great time in San Francisco, and as with any city I visit I always feel like I didn't see enough stuff. This drives the rest of my family nuts. I took more than 300 pictures on my digital camera. After the first day of San Francisco the rest of my family opted to take a nap. This was hard for me because I am always too wound up to sleep, let alone take a nap. Even the dog took a nap. So I started by looking at all of the pictures I had taken so far. I posted some of them on this site. I created a new page called "Dog Friendly Travel". I hope this gets more interest on what I am doing with my site. It's been fun, I found that traveling with a dog is hard and fun at the same time. The first two day's daisy whined allot. I think it was because she was in a car for 6 hours, then in a hotel that had a huge thing that she rode in that the floor moved and was scared to death (elevator), she just wanted to play outside all the time while we were in Reno. Then the next day we were in the car a few hours more and she would whine because she wanted to hang her head out the window the whole time. Then she couldn't make up her mind whose lap she wanted to be on. At this point I wanted to throw her out the window. But as I love dogs I would NOT do that. It was like having a whining two year old in the car throwing temper tantrums. Once we found our hotel and checked in. Daisy was just too excited to take in her new surroundings. After an hour or two of relaxing in our room Daisy decided to make herself at home and took a nap. With the rest of the trip Daisy was relaxed and was a good dog. She relaxed under the table as we at dinner, she loved to see all of the sites taking walks and smelling everything. There is one thing I found a bit irritating in San Francisco, there are many places that are cash only. I found that if you ask first save yourself the trouble. Cash only places aren't worth your time or money. I found this out the hard way after I ended up spending $40 for an expensive breakfast with bad food, bad service, and they skipped out the back door with my change on a $21 check. I was going to tip anyway but not as much as what they got away with. Places that except credit cards are much higher quality establishments. You get what you pay for.
